Sixteen lacrosse teams punched their ticket to the state tournament

Eight boys high school lacrosse teams, and eight girls high school lacrosse teams have earned their spots in the 2023 MSHSL Lacrosse State Tournament. 

These teams battled through sections to earn the title of section champions. Now, they will battle to keep their season alive and earn the title of state champions.

The first round of games will be played today, Tuesday, June 13 at White Bear Lake Area High School and Stillwater Area High School.

There are a few teams who have made the state tournament for the very first time. Edina (Girls), East Ridge (Girls), Shakopee (Boys), and Cretin-Derham Hall (Boys).  Congratulations to these teams for making it to their first state tournament. 

Today’s matchups are as follows: 

Boys games at Stillwater Area High School

  • #1 Benilde St. Margaret’s vs Moorhead (Random Draw) at 5:00 p.m.
  • #2 Lakeville North vs Cretin-Derham Hall (Random Draw) at 1:00 p.m.
  • #3 Shakopee vs Chisago Lakes (Random Draw) at 11:00 a.m.
  • #4 Prior Lake vs #5 Mahtomedi at 3:00 p.m. 

Girls games at White Bear Lake Area High School

  • #1 Lakeville South vs Elk River/Zimmerman (Random Draw) at 5:00 p.m.
  • #2 Edina vs Champlin Park (Random Draw) at 1:00 p.m.
  • #3 Stillwater vs East Ridge (Random Draw) at 11:00 a.m.
  • #4 Chanhassen vs #5 Benilde St. Margaret’s at 3:00 p.m.
