The Suburban East Conference (SEC) is one of the larger conferences for MSHSL lacrosse. 10 teams compete in the SEC leading to a season filled with conference rivalry games for these teams. Strong programs with a history of success are members of this conference, including: Cretin-Derham Hall (CDH), East Ridge, Forest Lake, Irondale, Mounds View, Park of Cottage Grove, Roseville, Stillwater, White Bear Lake and Woodbury.

Last year top competitors for girls lacrosse in the conference included: Park, Stillwater and CDH (according to mnlaxhub, in that order).

Predicting who will be on top of the Suburban East Conference this year between those three teams is not an easy task as they all have strong returning players on their squads.

Girls lacrosse

We picked Stillwater as our pre-season pick for the 2026 season in the Suburban East Conference. Stillwater plays a very tough schedule, holding their own against top opponents. Last year, the Ponies made it to the 2025 State Championship game and earned silver after a score of 8-13 against Prior Lake.

Key returners for the Ponies include, Grace Young- Attack, who had 72 points last year, Indria Capelle- Midfield who had over 70 draw controls in 2025, Marit Wolden- Defense, and Jacky Richert- Goalie.

The rest of the conference is ranked as follows: 2. CDH 3. Park 4. Roseville 5. East Ridge 6. White Bear Lake 7. Woodbury 8. Mounds View 9. Forest Lake 10. Irondale

Boys lacrosse

Stillwater is also our pick for the number 1 spot for boys lacrosse as well. Last season, the Ponies earned 2nd in the state after a close State Championship game against Edina. They ended the season with a record of 18-1-0.

With an undefeated conference record last season, we expect the Ponies to make a strong comeback this season.

Key returners for this strong Stillwater team include: Easton Abrams (Midfield), Aiden Sargent (Attack), Keiran Jones (Attack), Casey Mork (Goalie).
